FAQ

Common questions

What can I upload?

A zip containing your web project with an index.html entry point, or a live HTTPS URL that the engine wraps as your app. Zip limits by plan: Free 1 MB, Gold 20 MB, Pro 50 MB.

Do I need Android Studio?

No. The entire build runs on Qalyx servers. You configure and download from the browser dashboard.

What's the difference between debug and release builds?

Debug builds are for quick testing. Gold adds signed release APKs using your project keystore. Pro adds AAB output and lets you download your keystore bundle.

APK or AAB — which should I choose?

APK is ideal for direct sideloading and testing — available on all plans. AAB is required for Google Play Store uploads and is included on the Pro plan.

What does signed download include?

Each project gets a unique signing keystore on our servers. Pro users can download the .jks file and credentials as a secure ZIP for Play Store submission and backup.

Can I change plans later?

Yes — you can upgrade to Gold or Pro anytime and your build allowance updates when you move up. Downgrades are not available, so pick the tier that fits before you upgrade.
